Bretzke, James T.

The Revd James T. Bretzke, S.J., S.T.D. is a Roman Catholic moral theologian who serves as Professor of Moral Theology in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of San Francisco. His doctorate comes from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and he has taught there and at the Graduate Theological Union, the Jesuit School of Theology-at-Berkeley, in Korea at Sogang University and is at the Loyola School of Theology in the Philippines. His book A Morally Complex World: Engaging Contemporary Moral Theology (Liturgical Press, 2004) is an excellent introduction to contemporary Roman Catholic moral theology.
